Booking Terms

BOOKING & DEPOSIT:
When a provisional booking is made this should be confirmed in writing within two weeks. A booking becomes confirmed on receipt of your letter of confirmation and a deposit of £500 otherwise the booking is released without notice.

NUMBERS:
The final number of guests attending must be notified within 14 days prior in writing, which will be the minimum charged or greater if the numbers increase.
In the event of the Wedding Breakfast not being three courses the minimum tariff applicable for your Wedding Breakfast will be based on a selection of a starter, main course and dessert menu.

PAYMENT:
3 months prior to the event final details will be required, at which time a pro-forma invoice will be issued to be settled within 7 days based on the details given and a 50% payment of the total will be required.
The balance of account will be paid on receipt of final invoice and settlement will be required up to 7 days after the event.
Failure to meet payment on due dates will incur an interest charge on a daily basis being charged for every day over the contracted due date.

CANCELLATIONS:
If in the event of a cancellation of the above booking 6 months or more before the date required, The Greenbank Hotel will make a full refund.
In the event of a confirmed booking being cancelled within the 6 month period, The Greenbank Hotel will not only retain the initial deposit paid but will also be entitled to charge and invoice the client an additional sum amounting to the balance of 50% of the estimated total by way of liquidated damages for breach of contract.
All cancellations must be made in writing and it is strongly advised that a cancellation insurance is in place through a third party.

WEDDING BREAKFAST:
Wedding Receptions in the Riverbank Suite are available any day of the week and in the Harbourside Restaurant and Sundeck any day excluding Sundays.

For the Wedding Breakfast the Riverbank Suite can accommodate a maximum 90 guests, The Harbourside Restaurant can accommodate a maximum 50 guests (seated on tables of 8’s running the length of the window) or 40 guests (seated on one long table), and The Sundeck can accommodate a maximum 16 guests (seated on one long table).
For those wishing to use either the Harbourside Restaurant or The Sundeck, guests must be seated no later than 2.00pm for the Wedding Breakfast and both rooms are available up until 5.30pm.

EVENING RECEPTION:
The Riverbank Suite is available for Evening Receptions and a room hire tariff of £175 is charged if having one of our buffet menus or £250 if no Buffet is required.

PLEASE NOTE that the above room hire tariffs are applicable for use of the Riverbank Suite anytime from 7.00pm onwards until midnight.
In consideration for our other guests we request that a maximum of a three piece band is used for entertainment.

All entertainment will be required to finish at midnight and the hotel bars will close at midnight for all guests including those who are resident.

ETIQUETTE:
The Hotel reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of music or behaviour of the client, guest or representative and the client must take all steps necessary for corrective action. In the event of failure to comply with management request, the Hotel reserves the right to terminate the contract or stop any event without being liable for any refund or compensation. The client agrees to pay the Hotel for any food, beverage or other services not provided for in this contract but made available upon request of the client.

ACCOMMODATION:
Our Wedding Package includes an Executive Double Room with Harbour Views for the Bride and Groom on a complimentary basis (based on a minimum of 30 guests attending the formal Wedding Breakfast to qualify) for the night of the Wedding. However if you wished to upgrade to either one of our Deluxe Rooms or the Sheldrake Suite there would be an additional supplement of £60 and £120 respectively.
All associated accommodation bookings for your wedding guests must be confirmed with a deposit at least one month prior to the Wedding. Any guests associated with the Wedding will be entitled to receive the following discounts:-

15% discount during the Low Season (October until the end of April) & 10% discount during the High Season (May until the end of September)
