RNAS Culdrose Air Day - 29th July 2009

On Wednesday 29th July RNAS Culdrose are opening their gates – come and meet the Fleet Air Arm, the Royal Navy’s flying force, at the 2009 Culdrose Air Day.  This year they are holding an extra special event to mark 100 years of naval aviation – come and help celebrate Fly Navy 100.  Air Day is the only day of the year when the public can step into the world of Culdrose and experience the sights, sounds and smells of a working military Naval Air Station.

Henri-Lloyd Falmouth Week (incorporating Falmouth Classics): 8th – 16th August 2009

Racing for all types of craft from the small dinghy to the high-performance racing machine, supported by a full daytime and evening social programme, including a firework spectacular

Cornwall Food and Drink Festival: 25th – 27th September 2009

A delicious festival held in Truro celebrating the best of Cornish food, with a local produce market and cookery demonstrations from top Cornish chefs

Falmouth Oyster Festival: 15th – 18th October 2009

Timed to coincide with the start of the oyster harvesting season, this annual festival celebrates one of the last remaining oyster fisheries to dredge under sail and oar.
