From international sailing events, foodie festivals, art exhibitions, and singing sensations - Falmouth has a whole host of fantastic events throughout the year and something for everyone. 

Here are just a few of the highlights you could experience and don't forget to view our special offers and breaks to plan your perfect stay:

  • Fal River Festival: 24th May - 2nd June-This festival embraces the places, people, history, culture and industry connected to this very Cornish river. With its diverse mix of events taking place at dozens of locations around the water, the festival gives a real chance to engage with life on the river and discover some of its fascinating history.

  • The Greenbank Sprint Championships Sat 8th June-Proud to support our local World Champions, Falmouth Pilot Gig Club, head down to Gyllyngvase Beach to catch a fun afternoon of the second annual Greenbank Sprint Championships.

  • Falmouth Classics: 13th - 16th June-Falmouth Classics regatta gets bigger and better as the traditional one-day race joins forces with the world renowned Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival, and becomes three days of dedicated classic boat racing with a new link to the Festival, promising timeless entertainment on and off the water.

    The new-look Falmouth Classics takes place from June 14th to 16th 2013 with crews being welcomed into the port on the Thursday evening for racing on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday

  • The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival: 14th - 16th June-This is the largest free festival of maritime music on the planet so don't miss it!! 2013 will welcome over 30 groups from across the globe.

  • Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week: 9th - 18th August-This event has grown into the largest sailing regatta in the South West with more than 450 yachts racing over eight days along with a lively programme of shore side events.

  • Little America's Cup: 18th - 31st August-The British C Class Catamaran Team INVICTUS will host all comers in 2013 for the Little America's Cup. First sailed in Britain in the 1960s, the Cup has not been won here for over 40 years. In Rhode Island USA, the 2010 event was won by the Canadian team; Invictus were 3rd out of 7.

    In 2013 we expect 16-20 of these boats - 25 feet long, 14 feet wide, with a crew of two and a 42 feet high solid "wingsail", they are capable of 25 knots. This many have never been seen together before; they will come from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Sweden and Britain

  • SPLASH 2013: 13th - 22nd September-Celebrating creativity in Falmouth. Art installations, poetry, drama, comedy, dance - we'll be celebrating all and more in September at Falmouth's newest festival. 2013 amazing lineup is being planned

  • Falmouth Oyster Festival: 10th - 13th October-Celebrating the start of the oyster dredging season, the diversity and quality of Cornish Seafood and, in particular, the last remaining traditional oyster fishery in Europe still dredging by sail and hand punt.
