“A CORNISH CAROL” by Burrell theatre: the poly, falmouth

4th – 5th December 2019

A Cornish twist on a Dickens classic. Burrell Theatre will be performing this irreverent adaptation that weaves physical comedy, musical numbers and lots of Cornish gags. Over one miserable mizzly night in Cornwall, join miserly Scrooge and a gang of ghostly ghouls who force him to revisit his PAST(y), explore his (Ker)NOW and decide if his FUTURE will come-to-good.



7th December 2019

For some festive giggles, head to Constantine for this distinctly Dickensian and entirely improvised comedy theatre show. Created on the spot from your suggestions and co-produced with The Wardrobe Theatre, be transported back to the Victorian era this Christmas.



12th – 14th December 2019

Lane Theatre are hosting a genie-us pantomime this December. Let Oddsocks Productions transport you to a whole new world with their version of the Disney classic, Aladdin. “TREASURE ISLAND” BY MIRACLE THEATRE: princess pavilion, falmouth

13th December – 5th January 2019

Yo ho ho and a barrel of fun! This Christmas, Miracle Theatre will be saying ahoy to audiences at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth. Freely adapted from Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, follow the epic nautical adventure story through calm waters and rocky seas. Full of swash-buckling shanty singers and sprinkled with the signature Miracle humour, anchor down for hours of seasonal fun for the whole family.


“THE MOUSEHOLE CAT” BY COUSIN JACK’S: solomon browne hall, mousehole

14th – 31st December 2019

Appropriately performed in the heart of Mousehole, this magical and heart-warming show uses delightful puppetry to portray Antonia Barber’s classic children’s story. This is the purrfect Christmas theatre show in Cornwall for children aged three and above. From the 14th December, the famous Mousehole lights will also be proudly displayed in the harbour, giving the whole village a festive feel.



22nd December 2019

It’s story time at The Acorn in Penzance. Join Jack Frost and friends and settle down for fantastic festive story-telling. A whole host of new wintery tales told using projections, innovative lighting, animation and puppetry will be sure to get you feeling festive in time for Christmas.


CHRISTMAS PUPPET SHOWS: boathouse theatre, st ives

22nd and 29th December 2019

Enjoy adorable Christmas puppet shows at the Boathouse Theatre in St Ives, a charming theatre just a stone’s throw away from the harbour front. The venue will be showing Frosty the Snowman and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Booking ahead is strongly advised as this theatre is a very intimate space with only a few seats, making it a lovely cosy show to take the little ones to see this Christmas.

26th December 2019

On Boxing Day, The Alverton’s Great Hall will be full of laughter and Christmas cheer as Near-ta Theatre take to the stage with their genius comedy ‘Christmas.Time’. Charlie and Toby are feeling low, as it’s Christmas Day and they’re serving time behind bars. But why shouldn’t they be having a Merry Christmas in spite of their incarceration? What’s stopping them from creating Christmas around them? Absolutely nothing! And so they set off on their festival of carols, Claus, Christ and custody.
