May Featured Cocktails in the Water’s Edge Bar

Another month, another round of thirst-quenching cocktails. These four tipples truly are the cream of the crop. Expect summer fruits, sugar syrups and generous glugs of liquor – as we introduce to you Aperol Spritz, Forbidden Fruit, Breakfast in Bed and The Portuguese Sour.

Aperol spritz (4th-10th may)

If you’re after a refreshing cocktail, an Aperol Spritz is your perfect choice. Bright orange in colour and with a combination of sweet Aperol and fizzy Prosecco, it’s invigorating and rejuvenating with a bitter-sweet summery aftertaste. Incredibly light, we add soda and an orange wedge to finish.


Forbidden Fruit (11th-17th May)

The Forbidden Fruit cocktail is a spicy-yet-citrus tipple that although smooth, leaves a warming fiery tang that brings you coming back for more. Kick back and relax whilst sipping this playful combination of fresh apple and lemon juice, ginger syrup and Curio cardamom vodka.


Breakfast in bed (18th-24th May)

Bright and bittersweet — with a spoonful of marmalade shaken in for good measure — our aromatic cocktail is perfect for brunch time boozing. Blending Martini Rosso, Branca Menta, marmalade, lemon juice and sugar syrup, this one is sure to wake you up before you go go.


The Portuguese SOUR (25th-31st may)

It’s time to open your eyes (and taste buds) to a whole new world of sour cocktails. The Portuguese Sour gets its name from the generous swig of Crasto poured into it. Combining port with Courvoisier VS Cognac, sugar syrup and a smidgen of egg white to fluff it all up, this cocktail is sure to kick-start your evening.


Every Friday from 5pm until close, snap up two cocktails for £10, including the featured cocktails above during their allocated weeks.
