FRIDAY 9TH:

Falmouth Week kicks off with the legendary Pink Wig Night. This lively ‘breastival’ sees Falmouth’s main street crammed with a sea of pink marchers. The event encourages women to wear their loudest and proudest pink wigs to raise money and awareness for breast cancer charities. The pink ladies will be led by the infamous Betty Stogs and Falmouth Marine Band.

After the pink procession has made its way through town, the legendary ladies night can begin. Expect music, dancing and lots of drinking in the big tent at Events Square. Or hop on down to The Working Boat, where Ten Bob Notes will be kicking off the line of events throughout the week for our pub on the quay. (PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS NOW CANCELLED due to severe weather conditions.)

SATURDAY 10TH:

Throughout the week, the moor plays host to live music, fairground rides and markets. Tickle your taste buds with plenty of moreish food, or head to the The Working Boat for a tipple or two. Enjoy a live performance from Me and The Devil from 8pm for toe-tapping tunes accompanied with delicious food, and a pint of local ale! (PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS NOW CANCELLED due to severe weather conditions.)

In the evening, hundreds of people will fill the streets as part of the Falmouth Carnival. The Falmouth Marine Band will lead the parade from Falmouth Rugby Club at 6:30pm, before finishing with a carnival party down on Events Square.

SUNDAY 11TH:

The sailing will begin today with Helford River Sailing Club & Royal Cornwall Yacht Club race. The main regatta is a series of races over seven days, with courses laid in Falmouth bay and the Carrick Roads.

There are many viewing spots on the banks of the River Fal, such as the coastal walks around the estuary. Another good vantage point looking out to the bay and also looking down on Carrick Roads is Pendennis headland, especially the ramparts of Pendennis Castle. Dust off your binoculars for a close-up view of the action out at sea.

Head to The Working Boat throughout the day, as Tom Baker performs an acoustic set on the quay from 2pm until 4pm.

After a day of boat-spotting, head over to Events Square for the infamous Wurzels Hog Roast and Cider Night. The Westcountry legends will be performing for their 13th year running. Dig out your checked shirts and dungarees for a proper country knees up.

As the sun sets, kick back and relax with a pint or two at The Working Boat in our lovely beer garden with a view.

WEDNESDAY 14TH:

It’s Champagne Race Day! Choose your perfect viewing spot for the biggest race of the week, where the yachts compete for a Champagne prize.

Our very own ‘Chefs on the Quay’ event at The Working Boat will be hosted in our marquee. Sponsored by Sharp’s Brewery, it’s a rustic feast with a difference. Sample a mouthwatering six-course meal against the panoramic backdrop of Falmouth harbour, prepared by six top local chefs. Tickets cost £50 and all profits go to our two chosen charities, Cornwall Air Ambulance’s New Heli Appeal and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust. Expect to hear country, electronic and glam-rock influenced music by singer songwriter Mog Jones, who will be performing from 7pm onwards.

In the evening at 5:45pm, avert your eyes from the sea to the skies as the Falmouth Week Air Show takes flight. Three aerobatic display teams will be flying into Falmouth for an hour of breath-taking stunts and exhilarating manoeuvres featuring The BladesAeroSuperBatics WingWalkers and Strikemaster Pair.

THURSDAY 15TH:

Thursday sees the return of the hugely popular Ska Night at Events Square. This year The Dualers will be joining local legends Rudi’s Message on the stage to get the crowd dancing the night away.

Not a ska music fan? For a more traditionally Cornish sound, head down to The Working Boat for a sea shanty sing-a-long! The shanty singers The Oggymen and all female shanty group Femme de la Mer will be performing from 6pm onwards.

FRIDAY 16TH:

Lovers of fancy dress listen closely. Step back in time at one of Events Square’s biggest parties of Falmouth Week. Are you team 80s or 90s? Dress to impress in elaborate costumes from your chosen era – the bigger the better. With an appearance from S-Club 3 to ensure you ‘don’t stop moving’ and an 80s DJ set from Martin Kemp, you’ll need your disco-dancing shoes at the ready for the 80s vs. 90s Extravaganza!

Friday is also fireworks night. A tradition to celebrate Falmouth Week’s final few days of festivities, enjoy the gorgeous display as it illuminates the marina. Don’t miss out on visiting The Working Boat at 8pm, who will be hosting live music from the legendary ska band Go Go Skank – who offer 80s and 90s classics with a twist!

SATURDAY 17TH:

We don’t want to put you ‘under pressure’ to head down to Events Square, but we’d strongly recommend the fantastic Queen tribute band, The Bohemians. They combine the musicianship, costumes and energy of the world’s greatest band.

You won’t want to party on an empty stomach. Come and join us at The Working Boat for a hearty brunch to set you up for the day.

Don’t have tickets to see The Bohemians? Head down to our marquee where we have the wonderful Falmouth Soul Sensation performing from 8pm until 11pm.

SUNDAY 19TH:

The famous Dragon Boat Race will conclude the week nicely. Admire the 40 foot traditional Chinese style boats being paddled frantically in the ultimate battle where things get competitive.

Then don’t miss our Falmouth Week closing party, with Patrick Gilbert performing in the afternoon. We’ll be serving delicious food all day long and our Cornish bar will offer cocktails, gin, local ales and more. As always, our pub quiz will be held as usual at 7:30pm for a fun evening to end the busy week.

Or for all you gin fans, don’t miss our “Gin and Tea by the Sea” event from 3pm until late! Enjoy discounted G&Ts, a gin infusion masterclass and music from our resident DJ in our marquee – tickets are available here.

Events in our marquee are free of charge, with the exception of ‘Chefs on the Quay’ and ‘Gin and Tea by the Sea.’ The Greenbank Hotel and The Working Boat will be open daily as usual – bookings can be taken by calling 01326 312440.
