Real Brides in the Riverbank: Sarah and Paul
An Australian adventure, Easter egg proposal and a sweet reception at The Greenbank: this is the story of Sarah and Paul.
After an unlikely meeting during a night out in Plymouth, a persistent Paul managed to woo a reluctant Sarah into giving him her phone number – all of this before setting off for a yearlong expedition to Australia in less than two months.
Not one to be deterred, Paul spent the final few weeks with Sarah in a whirlwind of dates and a short break to Egypt; before declaring that he was to make a mammoth Christmas Eve journey to visit her, all the way Down Under.
A surprise proposal inside an Easter egg at Thurlestone Beach saw the advent of their happily-ever-after, choosing Pendennis Castle as a venue and our very own hotel for a reception to remember!
A sit-down meal of soup and slow-roasted lamb shoulder with all the trimmings (rosemary stuffing and pearl barley risotto) with a dessert of wedding cake was a mouth-watering choice.
For energy and entertainment a cheese tower, chocolate fountain and cupcake table made sure there was more than enough sugar to keep everyone on the dance floor until the early hours!
