‘Best Foodie Hotel’ win at Food Magazine Reader Awards

We are over the moon to be recipients of Food Magazine’s ‘Best Foodie Hotel’ award for 2020. This February, Managing Director Ben Young and Assistant Hotel Manager Matt Garland travelled up to Devon for the coveted awards ceremony. The evening was a great celebration of the best food in the south west. We were proud to represent Cornwall’s fantastic foodie industry and all the brilliant restaurants in Falmouth. This award is certainly a great start to another year of unforgettable Cornish cuisine. Thank you to all the readers of Food Magazine who voted for us – it means the world!
DINING AT THE GREENBANK
Our town is full of fantastic restaurants in Falmouth, and we are proud to be a part of the buzz. We offer relaxed fine dining in our two AA-rosette award-winning Water’s Edge restaurant or proper pub grub down in The Working Boat. Take a seat in our contemporary, maritime-inspired restaurant overlooking the Carrick Roads and Flushing. Head Chef Bobby Southworth‘s exceptional and unforgettable dishes are a treat for the eyes and the tastebuds. From elegant afternoon tea to bottomless brunches and a seasonally changing à la carte menu, our gorgeous harbour views are just a bonus alongside the tantalising food.
THE WORKING BOAT
For something a bit more laid-back, head below deck to The Working Boat. A popular spot for local fishermen and residents to sink a few pints for over 300 years, The Working Boat was rebuilt in 2015 and offers an alternative menu and atmosphere for our visitors and guests. The pub has a chilled out vibe, outdoor seating on the private quay and 15 local beers on tap. Our Working Boat Head Chef Liam Humberstone is passionate about serving hearty pub grub, expertly cooked using the best of locally-sourced ingredients. No one goes hungry at The Working Boat!

We offer a wide range of dishes to suit everyone, whether you are seeking award-winning food for a special occasion, or a delicious fish pie or burger. Seafood is prominent on our menus due to our quayside setting. We’re looking forward to this year and excited to be launching new menus coming out in March.”
