1st September: Celebrating cornwall, woodfired feast, Truro

1st September: TWisted tales outdoors, ENYS GARDENS

Where: 10 minute drive from The Greenbank

Touring Cornwall this summer, ‘Owdyado Theatre are bringing a hilarious comic evening of Twisted Tales by writers from Cornwall and around the UK. This variety of mini plays include tales of ghosts on New Year’s Eve, secrets from supermarkets, and more. All are welcome, but as a guide the recommended age is 12+. There will also be lovely vegan dhal served before the start of the play, so cosy up and enjoy a performance that will leave you laughing your socks off.

1st September: Make a mini etching, kresen kernow

Where: 25 minute drive from The Greenbank

This free family learning workshop at Kresen Kernow is the perfect place to take your little ones for a day out. Kresen Kernow’s ‘Cornwall Centre’ is home the world’s largest collection of documents, maps and photographs of Cornwall. It’s also a popular exhibition space and holds many workshops as well as fun family events. In their latest workshop with Mel Young, you’ll get to make a mini-etching, inspired by medieval manuscripts. The available time slots for these sessions are 10am-11:30am, 12:30am-2pm and 2:30pm-4pm. 2nd September: The wolves of willoughby chase, minack theatre

In this action-packed adventure story, Bonnie and Sylvia find themselves at the mercy of evil governess, Miss Slighcarp and her cruel sidekicks. 2nd September: THE ALVERTON SUMMER GARDEN SESSIONS: True foxes, TRURO

True Foxes, aka cousins Amie and Chloe, travel around Devon and Cornwall performing beautifully harmonious folk and pop covers. 5th September: Cornwall tour of britain

Where: All over Cornwall

This September 2021, Cornwall will be hosting The Tour of Britain cycle race for the first time. This eagerly anticipated event will kick off at Penzance Western Promenade and finish in Bodmin, passing through St Just, St Ives, Hayle, Camborne, Pool, Redruth and our very own Falmouth!

17th – 19th SEPTEMBER: St Ives Food Festival, porthminster beach

Where: 55 minute drive from The Greenbank

A day out of incredible Cornish food, music, workshops and family fun, this festival is the ultimate event to visit this September. The St Ives Food and Drink Festival is a free event to enter, but tickets are needed for music and evening sessions at The Lighthouse Stage. Free entry will give you access to a range of chef demos, street food, food workshops, kids’ activities, bars and much more. A perfect festival for the whole family to attend, set on the beautiful Porthminster beach – what’s not to love?

18TH – 19TH September: Watergate sprint

Where: 55 minute drive from The Greenbank

Nestled on the coast of north Cornwall, this motorsport event is certainly worth going to spectate. Competitors get to race on a closed-road challenge, starting just yards from the Atlantic shoreline. This challenging course then winds all the way up a 720-metre climb. With over a hundred cars taking part, the two day event will leave you feeling energised and amazed by the incredible challenges, as well as the sensational landscape surrounding them. Watergate Sprint is also known for benefiting lots of local charities, so we’d recommend taking along a bit of cash to pop in the buckets going by!
