4TH – 26TH FEBRUARY: CORNISH BEACH CLEANS
Where: All over Cornwall
Want a free good feeling? Help clean up the coastline and satisfy your seaside needs. As long as you’re wearing the right shoes you’ll be sure to find yourself having so much fun and making a difference in the world too. The National Trust’s local rangers can be joined in their efforts to manage our coastal habitats on selected dates, at Chapel Porth, Pendower, Porthcurnick, Porthtowan and more.
FROM 4TH FEBRUARY: CASKET OF PEARLS EXHIBITION, PENLEE HOUSE, PENZANCE
Where: 50 minute drive from us
Since undergoing major refurbishment in 1997, Penlee House Gallery & Museum has become one of the nation’s leading regional museums. It is internationally renowned for its 19th and 20th century British art, in particular paintings by artists of The Newlyn School. This latest exhibition shows how Penlee’s collections have developed over two decades, through fine and decorative art, social history, photography and archaeology. So celebrate 20 years of great art and brilliant culture.
EVERY SUNDAY: WORKING BOAT PUB QUIZ, FALMOUTH

Due to the wildly popular nights we’ve had previously, from February we’re introducing a weekly Sunday quiz night. Time to get quizzical, show off your smarts and dive into our local ales list! If you bring yourselves, your friends and your best wit, we’ll provide the prizes and the drinks.
UNTIL 19TH FEBRUARY: EDEN PROJECT EVENTS, ST AUSTELL
Where: 50 minute drive from us
Puzzle lovers will have a chance to try one of the most mind-boggling challenges in The Eden’s Project’s live escape room – “Alien Rescue.” The unique immersive experience runs on selected dates until 19th February and is perfect for explorers, teams of friends and families.
Eden’s magical ice rink is also open until 19th February. So whether you’ve wrapped up warm with your partner or you’ve got some little ones trying their first time on the ice, plenty of fun can be had. And throughout half term, join the Eden team for “StoryFest” – a kids’ book festival like no other. Let your imagination run wild, with a celebration of storytelling, curiosity and fun.
THROUGHOUT FEBRUARY: THE HALL FOR CORNWALL, TRURO

Cornwall’s answer to the O2, The Hall For Cornwall is a unique and historic theatre which delivers a wide-ranging arts programme that includes theatre, music, dance and comedy. A cultural hub in Cornwall’s capital, February will host a variety of performances for the little ones, the slightly bigger ones, and ones that look after the both of them! From sing-alongs this half term to party night extravaganzas, there’s a little bit of everything to keep you warm and happy all month long.
11TH – 19TH FEBRUARY: “INTO THE JUNGLE” AT NEWQUAY ZOO
Where: 45 minute drive from the hotel
Need a day to relax and watch your kids go wild? This half term, Newquay Zoo is celebrating the launch of their ‘Into the jungle’ new adventure. There’ll be trails, activities, feedings and much more to keep the children monkeying about whilst you get to see the amazing collection of animals, from the agouti to the zebra! Time to get exploring in the depths of Newquay’s ‘jungle’ – from 11th to 19th February.
11TH FEBRUARY: VALENTINE’S WEEKEND AT THE WATER’S EDGE, FALMOUTH

As February is the time to celebrate your loved ones the most, how about treating them this Valentine’s Day with a decadent candlelit dinner overlooking Falmouth harbour? 13TH – 17TH FEBRUARY: PENDENNIS CASTLE’S TERRIFIC TUDORS, FALMOUTH
Where: 30 minute walk from The Greenbank
Perfect for your mini troops to become mini Tudors! Step back in time over 400 years and imagine life in the Tudor fort of Pendennis. Warm yourself by the roaring fire in the Castle Keep as you help a brigade of Tudor cooks preparing a feast, then step outside to try your hand at sword drills and junior jousting. Surrounded by beautiful views and access to many stunning walks, Pendennis is the place to be this half term.
FEBRUARY AND BEYOND: HAUNTED HAPPENINGS, BODMIN
Where: Bodmin and all over Cornwall
Become a ghost hunter for the night, working alongside a team of experts with a series of walks, talks and séances. Challenge your fears as you are taken on a bone-chilling journey of intrigue, terror and mystery. Over at the Jamaica Inn and in Bodmin Jail, unearth Cornwall’s skeletons in the closet and uncover its hidden secrets! Dubbed as the UK’s most haunted venue, the jail also holds ‘after dark’ evenings and a Murder Mystery Evening on 11th February.
